Ethiopia has started the construction of the biggest hydropower on the Blue Nile River that will produce 6,000 MW.

• It will cost 3.3 billion Euros and will take seven years to complete.
• This dam will create a lake twice the size of lake Tana.
• It will be the 10th largest dam in the world.
