The Ethiopian Black Jews – Bete Israel lived in Ethiopia for centuries maintaining Jewish religious practices of the ancient Israelis.
- A large number to Israel on two occasions called ‘Operation Moses’ in 1984 and Operation Solomon’ on 24th May 1984 and ‘Operation Solomon’ on 24th May, 1991.
- Currently, a few remain in Ethiopia.
