Here’s What Your Lungs Look Like After Smoking 20 Cigarettes

If you’re looking to quit smoking but you need a kick up the arse, you’ve come to the right place. And if you don’t smoke, I can guarantee you won’t consider taking it up after you’ve seen this video.

A graphic clip has been released by the scientists over at MEDspiration that apparently shows what a healthy pair of lungs look like after smoking 20 cigarettes. The results are pretty terrifying.

When scientists cut into the lungs, it was immediately clear that the organs had been discoloured by the Marlboro menthol cigarettes and the trachea (windpipe) was covered in tar. And that was after just 20 cigarettes. Imagine the build up after years of smoking.

MEDspiration’s student doctor said:

One cigarette can reduce our life by about 11 minutes!

In this video, we watch as a group of medical student’s feed a healthy pair of lungs 20 cigarettes (a pack of Marlboro menthol).

Following administration of the 20 cigarettes, we can clearly analyse that tar build up in the trachea & discoloration of the lung has already set in!

There is about a 6.5 year difference in life expectancy between smokers & non-smokers.
